SOLATI TRIO PERFORMS IN DEERING COMMUNITY CHURCH

The Solati Trio is coming to Deering Community Church, July 8 at 8 P.M. for the unbelievably low price of $12 (Seniors and Students-$10; under 12 free). Sophia Herman, violinist, and Ludmilla Lifson, pianist are twin sisters, graduated from and faculty at the Leningrad Conservatory. In 1984 the cellist, Hrant Tatian joined the women and the Solati trio was formed. They have played in numerous highly-acclaimed concerts world wide. Their Deering recital will feature works by Henrique Oswald, Dimitri Shostakovich, and Franz Schubert.

Visit by Balance Chimbangwa from Rimbi, Zimbabwe

Balance will be in New Hampshire for the summer, mostly helping at our UCC state Conference camp at Horton Center. He will also visit other churches. He is a member and youth and Ukama leader from our partner church in Rimbi. He brought many in our congregation letters and pictures from penpals in Rimbi. He sang at our coffee house, preached and led us in praise on Sunday, June 11th, visited member Minnie Constable to celebrate her 103rd birthday. We have enjoyed his company and learned many things from him.
